The first Saturday and Sunday of the month is free admission to Dripping Earth at the Joslyn Art Museum. The room where the displays are located, on the gallery level, is just after a flight of stairs that leads the patron deeper inside the museum. Inside, several floor displays along with wall artwork fill this room, which is backlit with monitors and radios for consuming media associated with the art/event. An enormous metallic sculpture serves a central role, and the overall impression is one of brand-new artists breaking ground in an ever-changing creative landscape. I highly recommend this as an opportunity to see another side of the art and creativity being displayed in Omaha and the mid-west.
